FOSTER - My First Step To Photography

FOSTER. MY FIRST STEP TO THE PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography. Everybody knows what photography is. It is also something that I will never imagine to be one of my hobby.  I did not have experience with camera. My first time with camera was in my senior high school. I brought camera when I had a school trip for second year. I brought camera film with me, a usual camera using film. I used it to capture the important moments at that time.

The second time I used camera was when I took an English course in Pare. At that time, I borrowed my brother’s digital camera to take some pictures of the Pre-BTC’s farewell party. It finally makes me interest in photography’s world. Even I started editing my own photos using photoshop or the other applications.

When I entered college, I was so confused to choose UKM (Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa that I thought it was Usaha Kecil Menengah when I heard it for the first time). If I entered Mahaspala or Boyscout, I would not get my parents permission because of my leg’s trouble. Then, FOSTER appeared. The first time I knew FOSTER, I was already interested. They said they were UKM FOSTER. It made me happy because I found a place where I could know about photography.

I was still in FOSTER from my first semester up to now. The most I like my friends in FOSTER is the air that is always enjoyable in every meeting (although it is always so late until 1 hour, but I still like it). Even when we did PENA 1 in Kelud mountain.We should sleep in Pos Pengawasan. There was only 3 rooms and the members are more than 15 people, including panitia. So, the girls should be in crowded position when sleeping because the boys slept outside of the rooms. But we could be closer and take some good photos. :D

The other thing I like is discussion with Canopi. The discussion always invites professional photographer and they always do slide show to show their photos. I do like that forum. When Canopi was made for the first time, they invited mas Trisnadi and I went home at 00.30. It was so late. But I got my parents’ permission of course.

Now, FOSTER has begun recruiting new members. It makes me become their senior. But I still have to study with them, because I still have many things that I do not know from photography. (^_^)
